It seems like the only winger that enjoys/thrives playing with Koivu is Zucker. Pominville did nothing with him and neither does Vanek. However I would like to see Vanek and Pominville together as they had great chemistry when in Buffalo. Personally I think Granlund would benefit by having Stewart create some space for him to operate in. This may be mute because the lines usually dont remain intact very long anyways.

You would think we'd have seen this a bit more this year due to that fact coupled with the fact that Vanek hasn't really had great chemistry with anyone else, but no. I just don't get it.

I'd rather see Bergenheim stay with Koivu. Seems like it makes more sense to put Stewart on a more physical line like Coyle and Niño.

I concur. If reports about Stewarts skating prove to be true, this could be one sloooow line

He is not fleet of foot though it's hard to tell how much is due to his actual speed and how much is due to his laziness.

He reminds me of Brent Johnson in that both seem to have all the physical and skill tools to become elite but they sure don't seem to have the head/heart to put it all together. He easily was one of the most frustrating Blues players in that regard.

He did endear himself to people as he would definitely stick up for teammates, something he did consistently as warranted.

For all the female dogging that Wild fans do about liberties and this State of Hockey club being soft I thought the addition of Chris Stewart would come as a relief. Stewart can contribute to hockey game but will serve as a TRUE deterrent to the BS that the Avs and Blues and other Western Conference teams have gotten away with against the Wild for the last two post seasons.

Meh, he'll definitely help make the team a little less soft, but he's not going to Deter anything. Remember Cooke was supposed to do that to and all he does is shy away from it, not to mention get is ass kicked by Shea Weber.

Yeo needs to give the second PP unit more time. I think they move the puck better.

What started out so well became so ugly. Hope they can get their poop together and come out strong for the final period. Ottawa has completely taken the crowd out of this one.

As well as take Suter off the top unit. It's gotten to the point with him where I don't hope for a goal when he shoots....I just hope the puck can somehow make it past the nearest defender.
What a Sallyass shot he has

I had a feeling that missed opportunity of Fontaines was going to come back to haunt...

Calgary won so they're now within a point. Wild need to keep pace

I can't believe he wasn't able to score there. 9 time out of 10 he does, ugh.

I like Brodin's shot. Sneaky good. Doesn't shoot enough.

Good win, but a little close for comfort.

Yes, and that move he made when he took it to the net (think it was against Karlsson, but still). He's too worried about putting himself out of position to be more aggressive in the offensive zone, which is too bad because he has some amazing hands and can turn the jets on in an instant.

Leo looked pretty good...That bouncer first goal was a tough one, otherwise he seemed to play pretty solid.

I loved the way the defense pinched in to create some offense.

I like the size and grit of Stewart.

I like building up a 5 point buffer...Keep it going Fellas!!!

Reported on NHL network: Gabriel Landeskog fined $5000 and Cody McLeod fined $3091.40 for their actions at the end of Saturdays game vs Wild.

Hard to believe Roy gets off Scot-free!
